Junior Construction Manager

Excellent opportunity for someone with 6-24 months on site experience following degree completion. Be trained up and potentially be in a project manager position within 2-3 years. The Role: • Management of all contractors, consultants, and suppliers frameworks involved in the store construction process. • Central coordination and reporting of timelines and costs for all construction projects. • Coordinate the design team in the production of store specifications. • Optimisation of the store mechanical and electrical design. • Preparation of handbooks and guidelines to support standardisation and consistency. • Manage value engineering efforts whilst seeking continuous improvement. • Site visits to monitor progress / quality and to support regional construction teams. • Communicating complex findings in a structured and clear manner to a non-technical and diverse audience. • Communication with counterparts in various Lidl countries. • Completion of additional tasks will also be required from time to time. Your Profile: • Qualified to honours degree level in either Building Services, Engineering, Quantity Surveying or Construction related degree. • Knowledge of general construction processes, contracts and other legal documents involved in construction / property development. • Organised and self-motivated with a proven ability to work to tight timescales. • Proficient IT skills, particularly PowerPoint and Excel. • Ability to work well and collaborate within a team. • Excellent oral and written communication skills. • Strong administration and organisational skills. • German language is an advantage but not essential.
