Accountant (Property Developer. Dublin 4 €Neg. Required for very reputable property developer in Dublin undertaking several residential (construction) projects across Dublin and Leinster. Position will involve working alongside Finance Manager and Financial Controller so great scope for learning and development. Ideal candidate will be genuinely interested in working in property sector and will have 2-4 years’ experience in either construction or property. The successful candidate will operate as part of an established finance team. Duties. Retrieve and process supplier invoices and post to general ledger. Preparation of payment run. Posting bank payments to relevant ledger. Preparing and processing other journal entries. Assisting in maintaining the management accounts of all entities within the corporate structure. Assisting in the preparation of VAT returns. Dealing with queries from suppliers. Assisting with the year end audit and responding to audit queries. Preparation of the prime books of entry for several of active development sites. Preparing monthly and bi-monthly payment runs for all development sites. Tracking actual spend against budgeted spend for each development site and raising any issues with project/ finance manager. Dealing with queries from suppliers, professional teams and banks. Preparation of monthly, bi-monthly and annual Revenue returns. Assisting in the updating of all cash flow projections in a timely manner. Assisting in the preparation of quarterly management accounts; financial modelling and corporate administration. Assisting with the year end audit and responding to audit queries. The Ideal Candidate will: be a qualified accounting graduate / technician with at least 2 years of experience in a accounting environment. have a strong interest in the property sector, with prior experience an advantage. be analytical, and technically proficient in Microsoft Excel , with experience of working with detailed financial models. have an ability to work on own initiative and to handle multiple priorities and deadlines.
