Commercial Director. Dublin. ICDS have been retained to source a senior level Commercial Director to oversee the construction of a new hospital in Dublin which is the largest project within the Government’s Capital Plan. The construction is well progressed with Frame and Façade expected to be completed by the end of 2020. Working closely with the CEO and other Directors you will have full lead on the overseeing of the two construction Contracts to achieve satisfactory outcomes in terms of risks and finances. You will liaise and work effectively with the relevant Government bodies, the HSE and other key project stakeholders. Whilst providing leadership, management, oversight and motivation for the commercial management team, the Design Team and other project team members. The successful candidate will ideally: -Be a Chartered Quantity Surveyor MRICS with Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, or commercial / contract management or other relevant discipline. -Minimum 25+ year’s post graduate experience and at least 10 years in senior management position (minimum 8 years in a commercial manager’s role. -Must have extensive knowledge of procurement, contract management and contract administration on major building construction projects (> €500m). Experience of healthcare construction projects would be an advantage. -Has fulfilled the role of Director/Senior Commercial Manager on at least one project of similar size, scale and complexity.
