Description

Production Team Leader - North Dublin. Medical device sector. In this role you will be responsible for the day-to-day operational activities to achieve weekly targets and on-going performance metrics. You will responsible for your area and be accountable for all aspects of the team’s performance. You will act as first point of contact for issues, and seek resolution by using the skills and resources of the team and through collaboration with support functions. You will ensure that the customer needs are met with an emphasis on delighting the customer. Through positive leadership, the Team Leader will be goal focused and serve as a role model for the team, promoting the corporate values and behaviours. Scope of role: Team Management: Organizing and Task Management, Planning, Prioritising. Performance Management (Objective Setting, strategic imperatives. Performance Tracking (KPI's / Visual metrics. Headcount management / resource planning. Training Management – cross-training, multi-skilling, job-rotation. Recruitment and on-boarding / induction. Production planning. Team Leadership & Coaching: Articulating the vision, influencing, engaging with team. Communications (1 to 1 and team meetings. Succession planning - pipeline development. Coaching and Mentoring. Feedback, listening, developing team and individuals. People-centric leadership to develop strong employee engagement. Line Support: Progress chasing, problem recording, analysis and solving. Guiding others to problem solve – teaching / advising. Troubleshooting support and root cause analysis. Inventory control. Quality issue resolution - critical trouble shooting. Hands-on support. Continuous Improvement: PDCA meetings, A3, 3i, 6 Sigma, Kaizen events. Lead projects to improve processes / add value. Visual metrics monitoring and analysis. 5S management and actions. Downtime tracking and analysis. Gemba 'waste walks' Interested applicants should have at least 2-5 years' experience in a similar manufacturing environment, and. be self-motivated and capable of motivating team members to meet the team and plant objectives. Ideally you will have strong people management experience, combined with a degree level qualification (this could be a technical degree, a management or business degree, or similar.) You should have : • Strong people leadership, interpersonal and communication skills are required. • Capable of motivating a team to deliver area and plant objectives. • An ability to work across multiple technologies is a key requirement. • Strong planning and analytical/problem solving skills required. • Knowledge and experience of materials/inventory planning systems. • SAP experience would be an advantage (not essential. • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) required. • Good understanding of production management and processes. • Preferably experience with electromechanical, mechatronics, chemical, systems integration. • Ideally practical experience implementing mitigations in a highly regulated environment. • Knowledge and experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) desirable. • Solid understanding and knowledge of statistics an advantage (not essential.
