Social Media Specialist (Executive Officer. Application details/procedure: An opportunity now exists for a suitably qualified and committed individual to take up the role of Social Media Specialist within the Department of Justice and Equality. This is an excellent opportunity for suitably qualified individuals to shape the creative practices within the employing organisation. The Transparency function within the Department of Justice and Equality is responsible for sourcing, assessing and communicating all information required by the Minister / Department / Public, as well as ensuring consistent standards of internal and external communications. As a Social Media Specialist within the Digital Creative area you will be a key member of the Communications and Engagement team within Transparency and play a pivotal role in modernising the Department's approach to social media channels, online communications and digital creative. You will support the development of a multi-channel digital engagement strategy that drives engagement with the public and helps foster understanding of the work the Department does. You will play a key role in providing and managing social media content online. You will work closely with the other Communications and Engagement teams to support effective and engaging external communication of the Department’s priorities and your creativity will help drive social media activity and engagement. Candidates must have:  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role preferred. • Specialised knowledge of social media promotion with an understanding of analytics. • Experience of Photoshop, InDesign or equivalent design tools/ • A third-level or relevant post-graduate qualification in communications, arts, marketing, design or a related relevant discipline.
