A Health & Safety Officer is needed by CareerWise for a large client for an initial minimum contract of 12 months. Full benefits including: 35 hour week, 26 days holidays, pension, onsite Gym, S&S club, Taxsaver & Cycle Scheme, Canteen etc. The person will work closely with the Health & Safety Manager in the creation, development, implementation and communication of health and safety strategy, policy and procedures. THE ROLE: * Provide support to management on Health and Safety policy and strategy and ensure monitoring and reporting on overall compliance to these standards. * Monitor the annual risk-based network health and safety audit and inspection strategy. * Support that statutory reporting of accidents, incidents and ill health is undertaken in accordance with current legislation. * Support company construction teams in the safe delivery of CAPEX projects. REQUIREMENTS: * A minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience in a professional engineering/safety environment. * Detailed knowledge of legislation and ability to interpret and translate such information into business policy and procedures. * Working knowledge of HSE management systems, aspects and controls.
