Power Systems Engineer - Operations

A leading energy and power supply company that facilitates renewable energy development are recruiting for a power systems engineer with experience in studies relating to systems operations and effective planning. In this power systems role, you will have the opportunity to work on significant and strategic projects in the transmission sector, carrying out technical work on projects to facilitate maintenance and upgrades to the power system. For example, it';s necessary to complete studies and careful planning of outages to allow for necessary work to be completed. - Your technical duties would involve technical and power system analysis [state load flow, voltage and short circuit ] with tools such as PSS/E, Power Factory and Plexos for various studies. - You will also liaise with internal operations teams to make sure procedure and regulations followed as regards control of power and outages. - You will liaise with government bodies and other state authorities to ensure and effective flow of information to key stakeholders. To be considered for the job, you must have a relevant engineering degree and at least 2+ years in carrying out power systems studies.
