An Garda Síochána is the national police service of Ireland with approximately 14,750 Garda members, 3,281 Garda staff and 444 Garda Reserves working in four regions across the State and in a number of national, regional, specialist and administrative units. Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer, the Occupational Health Physician will be working with the existing team to provide occupational health services to promote and maintain the physical, mental and social wellbeing of employees of An Garda Síochána. The successful candidates will; - -Be currently registered with the Medical Council in Ireland; - Have a recognised qualification in Occupational Health - MFOM or equivalent; - Have experience of medical assessment of employees to determine fitness for work subsequent to or during sickness absence and advising on workplace adjustments where applicable; - Have experience of providing advice to an organisation on a wide range of complex occupational health issues.
