Payments Administration : In cooperation with colleagues, issuing report requests where appropriate, drawing up payment schedules and payment letters to HEI in relation to the following funding streams- Annual Recurrent Grant Allocations: assisting Senior Executive Officer as required with the annual recurrent grant allocation process (e.g. analysis of student numbers, completion of spreadsheets), arranging budget meetings, attending budget meetings, preparing reports of meetings, assisting with preparation and circulation of any committee documentation. This also includes assisting with drawdown of grant payments, checking payments, updating spreadsheets and preparation and issue of payment letters. Other current Programmatic Funding: assisting with the collection of data and supporting the payments process for various current programme funding initiatives e.g. apprenticeship, Irish initiative, medical education, various skills initiatives, administration of Forfas Science Budget. General reporting functions. Supporting Senior Executive Officer functions in relation to on-going reporting and communications requirements including provision of information to Management Accountant, C&AG, drafting responses to PQs; preparation of briefing information for speeches, information notes on projects etc. It also includes liaising with individual HEIs in respect various information requests and various other queries. Accounts: preparing data from accounts, updating spreadsheets. General Section Work  Free fee queries: dealing with requests from individuals. Responding to general requests for information e.g. issuing of various circulars to the sector, compiling tax relief lists, general day to day queries that arise e;g DES. Maintenance of web profile for system funding section. Other duties as may be requested from time to time.
