Recruitment of Director of National Retrofit. The organisation. The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) was established as Ireland's national energy authority under the Sustainable Energy Act 2002. SEAI's mission is to play a leading role in transforming Ireland into a society based on sustainable energy structures, technologies and practices. Reporting to the Department of the Environment, Climate and Communications, SEAI is responsible for an annual budget of circa €350 million. The role. SEAI seeks a suitably qualified individual in the role of Director of National Retrofit. The Director of National Retrofit will have a critical role to play in ensuring the operational success of the National Retrofit Programme responsibilities assigned to SEAI. The appointee will be the first person to hold the post and will have significant opportunity to make their mark in developing the Directorate and contribute to the success of the organisation. This role will have responsibility for the leadership and management of the National Retrofit Directorate to achieve its intended outcomes and deliver a range of key services including oversight of the development and delivery of Residential and Community retrofit programmes. In addition, this role is a key member of the Executive Leadership team helping to develop and implement strategy and to resource and deliver the organisation’s strategic objectives. The person. The successful candidate will demonstrate strategic leadership, clear evidence of strong corporate governance skills, sound judgement on complex inter-linked issues, excellent communication skills and a track record in leading and delivering growth and change, managing relationships, providing developmental leadership and managing for results.
