A key role within an R&D Dept where you will support R&D team who are delivering energy & renewable research projects. Key Functions of the role are: - * Support Energy R&D; coordinating project evaluation & helping to manage them during implementation. * Communication as needed in relation to R&D project s. * Support energy R&D data input to an Energy R&D Database. * Participate in strategic & programme development in R&D Team & Technology Dept. * Participate & represent organisation in local,EU/international committees. You will have:- * Exp. of working in energy -related Research in public sector, academia or industry. * Knowledge of Ireland's energy -related R&D SWOT. * Understanding of national & EU energy policy priorities & achieve priorities. * Work & cooperate with team & int/external stakeholders. * Full ownership of R&D delivery, monitoring & review of relevant programme activities & proactive in achieving results, managing scope, time, cost & quality. Essential Requirements. * A post-grad in an energy-related area with an eng, scientific background. * Min 5 years' exp. in an energy-related area & Post-graduate studies. * Be aware of Ireland's energy -related R&D goals. * Have strong strategic, project management, organisational, analytical, problem-solving & interpretive skills. * Can use initiative & operate independently &/or be a team-player too. * Excellent (written & oral) skills, can explain technology easily & have good IT skills. Desirable Requirements. * Qualification at Ph.D. level. * Have managed funded R&D programmes & of working in public sector & to develop specialist knowledge & expertise relevant to the role. This position will play a key role in the R&D Dept where you will support delivery of R&D activities, delivering high-quality delivery of R&D & innovation activities.
