Description

The CervicalCheck Tribunal Act 2019 makes provision for Restoration of Trust Meetings. Under the Act, a Facilitator will receive requests for meetings from eligible persons for the purpose of documenting their experiences, facilitating discussion and/or providing information in respect of their experience in relation to CervicalCheck.    A panel of Moderators is now to be established by the Facilitator to convene and chair Restoration of Trust Meetings.  The primary purpose of the role of the Moderator is to facilitate constructive communication between the individual women involved (or their family members) and the relevant  person specified by the woman (or her family) and to ensure the appropriate documentation of their experiences as referred to in the Act.   The successful candidate(s) must on or before the closing date for receipt of applications have:   • A qualification at Level 8 on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) or higher in a relevant restorative practice discipline and at least 5 years directly relevant, recent experience; OR. • A qualification at Level 8 on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) or higher in a relevant mediation discipline and at least 5 years directly relevant, recent experience; OR. • A qualification at Level 8 on the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) or higher in a relevant counselling and/or psychotherapy discipline and at least 5 years directly relevant, recent experience involving group work;  OR. • At least 10 years directly relevant, recent restorative practice experience from your employment to date involving group work and a Level 6 qualification on the NFQ major award qualification, or higher, in a relevant area of restorative practice, mediation, counselling or psychotherapy; • Significant practical professional experience as a moderator, mediator, facilitator or similar role in areas such as restorative practice; family, community and other types of interpersonal disputes and conflicts; • A good understanding of the history of CervicalCheck issues that have arisen in recent years.    A full list of the essential requirements and competencies can be found in the job description. .
