Prestigious Life and Pensions Group in Dublin have a permanent opportunity available for an Actuarial Lead. This opportunity would suit a Qualified Actuary with ten years experience working in the Life office environment. The successful candidate will be leading a team of seven Actuaries responsible for product development, delivery and pricing. This position is currently fully remote working with a hybrid of remote and office working in the future. Key Responsibilities. To manage, coach and mentor the Actuarial team consisting of both Protection and Pensions specialists and ensure that they have strong personal development plans. Provide input, ideas, and analysis to both the proposition and overall business strategies. Develop market leading Protection and Pensions propositions for the business in conjunction with the overall Proposition team. Identify and contribute to proposition synergy opportunities across the group. Setting and monitoring the pricing and reinsurance strategy and standards for Protection and Pensions products. Developing financial modelling, analysis and commentary to enable profitable business growth. Delivering and supporting excellent customer outcomes for existing business support operations requiring actuarial input. Manage the actuarial relationship with senior stakeholders across the Group. Qualifications and Experience. A qualified actuary with a deep level of understanding and experience within a life office environment. In-depth knowledge and experience of developing products that meet identified consumer demand and achieve commercial success. Experience in pricing strategy setting and delivery against this strategy. Experience in reinsurance strategy setting and procurement and the building of strong relationship with reinsurers. Experience in pricing and developing Protection and Pension Products is an advantage. Very strong communication skills to ensure understanding of actuarial and pricing concepts in a non-actuarial audience, both written and verbal.
