The Arts Council is partnering with the Department of Education and the Department of Tourism, Culture, Arts, Gaeltacht, Sport and Media to develop Scoileanna Ildánacha/Creative Schools. We are currently recruiting for the position of Creative Schools Manager. This post is only open to qualified teachers who currently hold a recognised post in a recognised primary/post primary school, and are fully registered with the Teaching Council. Successful candidates may be contracted on a secondment basis to the Arts Council for an initial fixed period of one year (1st September 2021 – 31st August 2022). The Creative Schools Manager will report to the Creative Schools Programme Director and will form part of the Creative Schools Team. Successful candidates will have experience in delivering or facilitating high quality arts engagement in schools or other education settings. They will have good knowledge of the school curriculum and national education priorities and how these relate to the arts. They will have the capacity to undertake innovative and challenging projects, and have excellent leadership and interpersonal skills. The Arts Council may establish a panel of the successful candidates in order of merit. More detailed information regarding establishment of a panel (if any), duration of any such panel and placement on the panel will be provided to successful candidates.
