The CCPC is seeking to recruit a Senior Legal Advisor to work in the Competition Unit within its Legal Services Division. The Senior Legal Advisor will provide legal advice to the Commission and its various Divisions on civil/administrative and criminal enforcement of competition law and on the statutory merger review regime, and will take an active role in all legal aspects of the CCPC’s competition law functions. The Senior Legal Advisor will also be required to provide legal advice on other areas of law which impact the CCPC, including public procurement law and Freedom of Information. This position offers a fulfilling and responsible role in a busy and challenging environment dealing with interesting and varied legal issues. It provides an excellent opportunity to make a significant contribution to the delivery of legal services in a dynamic organisation with a wide range of enforcement and regulatory powers. You will be required to demonstrate strong leadership, analytical, interpersonal and organisational awareness skills. Due to the broad range of issues dealt with by the CCPC’s Legal Services Division, you will be required to prioritise work, meet deadlines and work to agreed performance targets. You will be expected to contribute to and engage with the overall management of the Division and to undertake any additional tasks as may be necessary from time to time.
