The CCPC is seeking to recruit two Legal Advisors to work in its Legal Services Division. In addition to the immediate appointments from this campaign, an order of merit may be established. This may be used to fill any future vacancies at the same level within Legal Services where roles have similar responsibilities and/or similar skills are required. The Legal Advisor roles will provide legal advice to the Commission and its various Divisions on civil/administrative and criminal enforcement of competition and consumer protection law and on the statutory merger review regime, and will take an active role in all legal aspects of the CCPC’s competition law, consumer protection and product safety functions. The Legal Advisor will also be required to provide legal advice on other areas of law which impact the CCPC, including public procurement law, data protection and freedom of information. This position offers a fulfilling and responsible role in a busy and challenging environment dealing with interesting and varied legal issues. It provides an excellent opportunity to make a significant contribution to the delivery of legal services in a dynamic organisation with a wide range of enforcement and regulatory powers. You will be required to demonstrate strong leadership, analytical, interpersonal and organisational awareness skills.
