Sourcing Specialist. A great new role for a Senior Buyer/strategic sourcing specialist with strong technical buying experience. Responsibilities. · Manage technical/ Passive Optical Suppliers, aligning pricing with agreed contracts. · Initiate supplier contract & spend for discussions for suppliers. · Generate & implement efficient category mgt. strategies from data analysis & discussion. · Identify spend inconsistencies, & work with sourcing teams to decrease exposure/risk. · Prepare & agree contractual negotiation strategies with suppliers to secure profitable deals. · Optimise sourcing procedures to attain max efficiency. · Negotiate pricing with suppliers & generate spend savings from negotiations. · Improve data mgt. flow process, through SLA reductions & through data accuracy. · Discover & partner with trustworthy suppliers. · Ability to develop strong partnership relationships with peers & clients. · Team ethos with cross collaboration experience. · Support & be a major contributor to multiple projects. · Process co-ordinator, governance team support & internal audit programme support. · Day to day engagement with key s/holders to ensure full compliance of processes & controls. · Process development, controls & day to day mgt. of operational initiatives. Skills & Competencies. · Minimum of 4+ years' exp in a similar role of data mgt. & sourcing skills. · Proven track record of sourcing successes. · Understand market dynamics & sound business judgement. · Operate with int/external stakeholders in a matrix environment. · Ability to negotiate & sustain networking relationships. · Comfortable with figures & in collecting, analysing & interpreting data, proficient in Excel. · Solid judgement with ability to make good decisions. · Good knowledge of ERP systems (SAP Ariba an advantage. Person Specification: · Degree in a related field or equivalent course being undertaken. · Min 4+ years' experience in a similar role. · Excellent written & verbal communication & problem solving skills. · Knowledge of Business Analytical applications (including basic knowledge of Power BI. · work in a fast paced matrixes global environment. · Advanced Excel skills & understanding of SAP Ariba. · Proficiency with Microsoft Suite applications (including PowerPoint, & Word. Rewards: A good daily rate is on offer for a minimum period of one year and more than likely to be extended.
