Manufacturing Process Tech. Leader. This amazing company develops transmission technologies with a mix of mechanical, electrical & process Eng. disciplines. I am seeking an organised, enthusiastic, innovative, & accomplished technologist with commercial acumen & excellent communication skills. Their team create cutting-edge R&D in Materials' science, advanced manuf., mechanical & structural design & electrical systems. You will develop Manufacturing Systems for a suite of products being developed. You will: - Get involved in component & technology design input. Developing bespoke manufacturing & integration equipment. Find 3 rd party adv manuf. institutions & equipment makers. Develop prototype adv manuf. cells in the R&D Centre & planning commercial scale manufacturing for products. Drive manuf. Eng. excellence across Eng teams, meeting academics, industrial leaders to create advanced technology manufacturing. Key responsibilities. Develop world-class manuf. processes for optimising cost & performance. Find technology around material selection, R&D & Product Dev. of the Cable Systems from a manufacturability/assembly perspective. Develop & optimise production costs & forecasts. IP dev. in the area of adv. manuf. techniques. Network & collaborate with SMEs in the manuf. of superconductor cables systems & adjacent technologies. Develop logistics, production process design & supply chain dev. proposals. Create manuf. equipment prototypes & manuf. cells. Manage manuf. requirements & product quality assurance. Manage suppliers, internal customers, contractors, academics & clients. Develop deployment, installation & lifetime Ops, Maintenance & Repair proposals. Input to all project areas, inc commercial, HSEQ, finance & Engineering. Exp. & Skills required. Bachelor's/Master's degree in Mech/Manuf. Eng., or equiv. (NFQ 8. Manuf. Eng. Exp. of at least 10 years. Proven Exp. in creating adv. manuf. equipment, systems & facilities. Exp. in continuous, adv. manuf. technologies for polymer composites, such as extrusion, injection moulding, ATL, etc. for mass production. Exp. in materials' science & its application to design & product manuf. Ideally exp. in cables, pipelines, or electrical products R&D &/or manufacturing. Creating risk assessments & technical risk mitigation & QA programs. Worked on projects offshore & deployment of pipe systems ideally. Rewards.
