Description

Sanderson has an exciting role to offer: BER Inspection Specialist. This position will play a key role in the Inspections Unit Department and will include liaising with an outsourced company on the scheduling and timely delivery of inspections, following up on outcomes and reporting. The role is required to co-ordinate and report on all high risk activities. A high proficiency in managing third party input, ability to be expert in technical issues and to communicate outcomes to general audiences in an accurate and concise way are required to be successful in this role. There will be a requirement for occasional travel around Ireland. Key Responsibilities: Generate desktop audit and site inspection selections, ensuring that a risk-based approach is taken. Maintain a risk register, develop tools & techniques to mitigate risk. Provide analysis and reporting to management and other relevant stakeholders on inspections and key action items. Administer the inspections database and support the development of off-line databases for new initiatives and pilot programmes. Participate actively in the development of continuous improvement initiatives and the development of scope for new, pilot programmes in advance of inspection. Assist in the administration and development of the Programme Quality Assurance and Disciplinary Procedure (QADP. Manage desktop audits of certification and other key documentation. Maintain an up-to-date and relevant desktop audit and site inspection process manual, keeping abreast of technical developments and risks, as they materialise. Subject to prevailing conditions relating to COVID-19, attend site inspections to ensure theory and practice are being implemented. Key Knowledge and Skills. Well-developed IT skills (Excel, CRM, PowerPoint etc. Essential Requirements: A post-graduate qualification in a relevant area with a scientific or engineering background or equivalent, minimum of Level 7 on the National Framework Qualification (NFQ. Knowledge of Ireland's building technologies industry, buildings and services, spatial planning or another relevant sector. Minimum three years' experience of working in these areas. Flexible in approach. Desirable Requirements. Experience in Quality Management Systems. Experience in the delivery of BER Assessments. Understanding of the BEH Scheme and /or the EEOS Scheme and parent legislation. Knowledge of Ireland's building technologies industry, buildings and services, spatial planning or another relevant sector. Experience in heat pumps. Experience in solar photovoltaic technologies.
