Consultant in Public Health Medicine – National Chronic Conditions– Health Service Executive, Ireland Ireland’s Public Health service continues to progress a programme of strategic structural reform to implement an enhanced, consultant-delivered model of service delivery aligned to international best practice. The new model will radically change the governance and operating structure within the Health Service Executive (HSE) Public Health function, establish strong clinical leadership across each of the domains of Public Health practice, and strategically align the service to contribute effectively to major service design, policy implementation, reduction in inequalities, and improvements in health.  Ireland’s Health Service Executive are now currently recruiting for a Consultant in Public Health Medicine – National Chronic Conditions.  The Consultant in Public Health Medicine – National Chronic Conditions will provide leadership and expertise to deliver service improvement initiatives within Clinical Programmes and Integrated Care Programmes to prevent Chronic Conditions and increase primary and secondary prevention in healthcare, social care and other settings.  The appointed candidate will be employed as a Medical Consultant and must be registered as a Specialist with the Irish Medical Council in the Specialty of Public Health Medicine within 180 days of interview.
