Principal Solution Architect (SAP FICO) - Dublin. This is a permanent hybrid role, required on site in Dublin 1-2 days per week. Job Summary: As Principal Solution Architect you will define, deliver and support business solutions for Finance and Controlling. This role will also help define strategic direction, determine business needs and design & deliver technical solutions for Finance and Controlling. This role has primary accountability for the delivery of Finance and Controlling system services including project delivery, system enhancement and production support in alignment with company policies and procedures.  Core Duties and Responsibilities: • Possess deep understanding of the overall vision and business needs, and utilise this knowledge to collaborate with Finance and Controlling to define detailed business requirements for enablement of business needs. This includes interpreting any issues and recommending solutions or best practices. • Utilise knowledge of best practices to define strategic direction, determine business needs and design & deliver technical Finance & Controlling solutions, doing so in partnership with Application and Infrastructure. This includes interpreting the most complex issues and recommending solutions or best practices. • Spearhead the mapping of business requirements to optimal technical solutions. • Provide technical delivery of functionality to meet defined business requirements. • Create and maintain project charters and plans, capital requests, budgeting and project management in accordance with the Project and Portfolio & Agile Project Management process and company policies and procedures. • Uses breadth of expertise to solve complex problems. Provide system support and maintenance in alignment with standards and process set within the ERP Services Delivery model, company policies and procedures as well as Regulatory requirements including but not limited to Sarbanes-Oxley and FDA GMP. • Create and maintain system lifecycle documents in accordance with policies and procedures, including creation and maintenance of SOPs, SOIs and Job Aids. • Work within and participate in the Change Control process. • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, instruction, and all safety rules. • Exhibit regular, reliable, punctual and predictable attendance. Interested applicants should have: • At least 8-10 years' related work experience. • Bachelor’s degree Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent experience. • Preferred but not required: Agile & Scrum Certification, ITIL. Preferred knowledge, skills and abilities: • Deep expertise, understanding and knowledge of SAP – system functionality and technical understanding of Finance and Controlling and related areas SD MM PP etc. • Must be up to date on latest ERP release. • S/4HANA knowledge preferred. • Ability to work in a virtual environment in a global organisation and to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment. • Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced & complex environment with a self-motivated work ethic; utilise sound judgment with an ability to manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency. • Proficient English language skills.
