Description

The Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth (DCEDIY) deals with policy and service developments relating to a number of very important groups in society.  It seeks to co-ordinate and develop key actions across Government relating to children and young people.  It also works on issues relating to some of our most vulnerable groups including children at risk, children in the care of the State, and other vulnerable, minority and disadvantaged groups.    A vacancy now exists for Youth Sector Specialist. The successful candidate will be actively engaged in the development and roll out of targeted and universal youth funding policy and programmes, and will work across the Youth Affairs Unit to provide a professionally informed perspective on all related matters.   Candidates must have: • A qualification of at least Level 7 on the National Framework of Qualifications in social science, social policy or a field directly relevant to the duties of this role;   • A minimum of 5 years recent youth sector experience in Ireland;    • Significant experience at an appropriate level, including experience of working directly with young people and organising the delivery of services to meet local youth needs.     Full details of the role, including specific eligibility requirements is available on www.publicjobs.ie.   Closing date: 3pm on Thursday 12 May 2022.  .
