Business Analyst (Finance) Sanderson have teamed up with a multinational insurance company to recruit a Business Analyst (Finance) on a contract basis. Responsibilities: Lead and participate in business analysis tasks; work with stakeholders to identify, analyse and document project requirements and structure work accordingly. Gather business requirements from stakeholders to produce detailed business requirement specification documents. Work closely with business stakeholders to understand and document current state challenges, root causes and future state requirements and to develop detailed future state designs. Coordinate with programme and project leads to ensure that these designs are appropriate to be handed over for technology and business implementation. Communicate effectively and concisely both verbally and in writing. Analyse complex problems and produce clear options / recommendations on how to proceed. Create clear work plans and support project / programme managers to provide regular reporting on progress to management, project sponsors and steering committees. Run workshops using proven techniques for creating detailed business requirements, Identify, assess and monitor risks to the success of the project. Track activities against the project schedule and manage stakeholder involvement as appropriate. Experience. Knowledge in business analysis methodologies and has awareness of new and emerging technologies and developments. An excellent understanding of the tools and techniques required for effective business analysis. Deep experience of process and capability mapping. Has good applications/technology knowledge, building on specialist domain knowledge. Proven ability in assuring project meets quality standards by providing guidance and developing procedures relating to product quality. Experience in applying problem-solving methodologies and tools to diagnose and solve operational problems. Ability to enable informed decision-making at all levels, including supporting senior stakeholder decision making at steering committees or similar governance forums. Experience in providing technical guidance to enable others and solving technical queries from junior colleagues. Ability to facilitate effective workshops. Ability to work under pressure or to tight deadlines. Ability to deal successfully with ambiguity and draw out the issues to be addressed.
