Devonshire has been exclusively appointed to identify a Group Finance Director to join the leadership team of a fast-paced, dynamic and entrepreneurial international organisation with operations in over 20 countries, a €1.5 billion turnover and more than 9,000 employees. This role requires a true leader with a flair for innovation and entrepreneurialism, who can act as an ambassador for the business within global financial circles, who will guide, mentor and consult with an already highly successful management team and help navigate the business into its next phase of growth. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to: Responsible for all aspects of the finance function – innovation, opportunity and risk management, team development, process improvements, challenge and growth management. Manage key stakeholder relationships – shareholders, business managers, financiers, capital markets, advisors, state agencies, top trading partners and key network relationships. Team leadership – manage and develop the finance team, comprising direct reports and indirect operating company finance controllers. Design and implement management controls including – internal controls, corporate governance processes, employment, welfare and safety compliance, regulatory, taxation, treasury, insurance, revenue, supplier and contractual arrangements. Take charge of annual and medium-term operating, planning and reporting cycles. Taxation – lead compliance and planning. Experience and skills: Qualified Accountant with director level experience in Big 4 accountancy practice or Finance Director of an international acquisitive group. Excellent technical skills – accounting, reporting internally and externally, analytical, organisation design, governance, regulatory compliance, tax planning and treasury. The management and development experience in high performance settings. Experience in equity and debt issuance and financing in London and European capital markets. Experience in M&A processes including due diligence design and evaluation, performance and reporting. Thoughtful, strategic, creative, resourceful with proactive problem-solving skills.
