For full job description and details on how to apply:   The Health Insurance Authority has an exciting opportunity to join our Consumer Affairs Team and help implement our internal and external communications programmes.   The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the HIA’s consumer information function and will be the public face of the organisation dealing with consumers queries and complaints received on our consumer helpline.   The successful candidate will be responsible for dealing with a broad range of stakeholders and communicating across all platforms, from traditional media to social media.  They will also be responsible for many elements of our internal communications including the HIA’s website and comparison tool.   The HIA offers a range of employee benefits including wellbeing initiatives and family friendly/ work life balance policies, access to excellent training, development opportunities, and career progression.   Duties. • Support the HIA’s consumer information function. • Respond to consumer queries and complaints received on our consumer helpline  • Manage the HIA’s health insurance comparison system. • Maintaining the website of the HIA to ensure it remains up to date and relevant to consumers. • Manage the HIA’s social media presence  • Represent the HIA at public information events. • Liaising with internal experts on complex queries. • Reviewing and maintaining info on health insurance plans. • Media engagement  • Any other duties which may be required.   Education, Requirements and Competencies. Essential:  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant area;  • Significant experience in dealing with consumers  • Excellent communication skills; • Strong organisational, verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills; • Experience of MS Office and specifically MS Outlook, Excel and Word;  • The ability to work on his/her own initiative; and.   Desirable:  • Experience in the health insurance industry. • Insurance qualification. • Experience of Zendesk. • Experience of the public sector environment would be an advantage.   Closing date: 14/07/2022.   Please note that this advertisement is being hosted by the Public Appointments Service on The Public Appointments Service has no involvement in, or responsibility for, the recruitment and selection process or the terms and conditions which relate to this post.  .
