Senior Project Manager
Senior Project Manager Sanderson have teamed up with a public sector client to recruit a Snr Project Manager on a fixed term contract. Role and purpose. The PM will be accountable to the PMO (Project Manager Office) for delivery and reporting of projects according to our clients' standards and procedures. The PM will initially be accountable to the technology development manager for successful delivery of a portfolio of strategic transport technology projects. Further projects will be assigned by the Head of PMO to the project manager dependant on the needs of the business. Manage all aspects of assigned projects to ensure achievement of strategic objectives. Provide leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals, adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones. Support the PMO to improve continuously the project management capabilities across the organisation. Provide regular status reporting regarding project milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risjs and issues and budget to the PMO and key stakeholders. Ensure projects are delivered in line with the NTA Project Approval Guidelines. Comply with all relevant Data Protection legislation. Comply with all Quality, Environmental, Energy, Sustainability, Health and Safety policies and procedures. Foster good relationships with employees and relevant personnel in own area of responsibility with relevant external agencies and stakeholders. Requirements. Bachelor's degree level qualification in a relevant discipline e.g., Information Technology, Engineering, Business, or equivalent relevant experience. Professional project management qualification (PRINCE2 preferred. At least 5-7 years' experience in project management, planning and tracking. At least 5-7 years' experience working in a technology delivery environment. Experienced working with vendors to deliver technology change, including a strong understanding of testing and deployment considerations for projects. Brings a highly structured approach to their work, while maintaining flexibility/agility to changing priorities. Strong written communication and documentation skills. Experienced managing and reporting on budgets. Experienced using project management tools to develop schedules. Experienced managing multiple workstreams, projects and teams. Strong working knowledge of office 365 suite, SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams and Microsoft Office.
