Director of Safeguarding for the Christian Brothers The Christian Brothers are seeking to fill the post of Safeguarding that entails a comprehensive approach to all aspects of safeguarding.  A detailed job description will be supplied to applicants. Requirements: 1. A third-level qualification or equivalent in the area of social work, childcare, education or related areas. 2. Experience of working in the area of safeguarding with professional competence at leadership level in fields of child protection, probation, education, social work, policing or healthcare. 3. A good knowledge of the Policy, Procedures and Guidance of the Catholic Church in Ireland and England , including the operation of the National Board for Safeguarding in the Catholic Church in Ireland. 4. A good knowledge of statutory guidance in both Ireland and England in relation to safeguarding children and vulnerable adults. Skills Required: a) High level of computer skills. b) The ability to work well with colleagues. c) Good organisational ability. d) Good interpersonal communication skills. e) Experience in working in the field of Child Protection with relevant qualifications. f) Willingness to participate in further training and development opportunities. g) Experience in planning and organising meetings.
