Qualifications and experience required. Must have. Candidates must have the necessary qualifications and experience to deliver in this varied role including: • Evidence of a NFQ Level 8 or equivalent, preferably in a relevant discipline such as public administration, compliance, governance, management or other area related to this role. and/or. • Two years’ experience working in Freedom of Information and/or Data Protection including those areas set out above. • Evidence of training in Freedom of Information and/or in Data Protection. • Minimum 2 years’ experience at an appropriate level of leading teams and managing resources. Candidates are also expected to have. • Excellent interpersonal, influencing and communication skills. • Practical experience of using IT systems and packages   • Fluent command and understanding of the English language to include the spoken and written word. • Strong project management and organisational skills and experience of meeting demanding deadlines and delivering a high standard of results. • Good judgment and sound decision-making, with a detailed approach to information handling and an ability to critically analyse information. • A commitment to the delivery of quality service. Desirable. In addition to the above essential requirements, it would be a decided advantage for candidates to have some or all of the following: • experience of working in the health sector. • experience of interacting with regulatory bodies. • a relevant accreditation (e.g., CIPP/e, CIPM, CIPT, etc.) Reward and Recognition. • Remuneration is in accordance with the Department of Health Consolidated Salary Scales, grade code 0582. • The appointment is whole time, permanent  and pensionable. • The annual leave entitlement is 30 working days per year. The leave year runs from 1st April to the 31st of March each year. • Normal working hours are 35 worked over 5 days. Your contracted hours of work are liable to change between the hours of 8 am to 8 pm over 7 days to meet the requirements for extended day services in accordance with the terms of the Framework Agreement.
