We are now recruiting high calibre graduates for the Irish Foreign Service. Irish Diplomats have a crucial role in developing and implementing Ireland’s foreign policies. They represent Ireland abroad, promoting and protecting the interests and values of our State and its citizens. Applications are particularly welcome from candidates who have foreign language skills, and individuals with qualifications in, and/or practical experience of, international relations, economic and trade promotion and development cooperation. During a career in the diplomatic service, officers will work at headquarters in Dublin or Limerick, as well as at a number of the more than 90 Irish Embassies and other offices around the world. Applicants must, on or before the closing date of 18th August 2022, hold a first or second class honours degree (minimum of Level 8 on the National Framework of Qualifications) of Qualifications or have qualified as a Solicitor or a Barrister.
