Description

Sanderson have partnered up with a leading sustainable energy provider in Dublin. This position will play a key role in the Finance Department. As Programme Executive Finance you will manage various existing grant streams and also develop new financial review processes as new programme streams are launched within the organisation as they expand and develop. The role will also be required support the financial accounting function and ensure adherence to key policies and procedures including month and year end requirements. The programme executive will further be responsible for managing and improving processes that are already in place with a particular emphasis around grant administration. The successful candidate will be expected to maintain excellent levels of governance whilst also adding value to the finance team and the organisation as a whole. The role is expected to be quite varied with the candidate experiencing many areas of the finance function. Key Functions of the role of Programme Executive - Finance. Perform compliance checks on grants and other payments and improving these processes. Examination of controls and governance to ensure minimisation of risks across the organisation. Reconcile the monthly grant expenditure cost to the various grant systems. Reconciling key balance sheet accounts at month end. Responsibility for key month and year end items as part of the organisation's financial close. Support the internal, external audit processes and assist in the preparation of annual financial statements. Maintain and update policies and procedure manuals in line with business requirements. Support the management and improvement of the organisations Finance system. Assist the Financial accountant & Financial Controller across a wide variety of key tasks as required and working with other areas of the broader corporate services function as the need arises. Key Knowledge and Skills. Ability to manage changing processes, adapting to changing environments and an attitude of continuous improvement. Demonstratable experience of internal and/ or external audit processes. Strong analytical, problem-solving and interpretive skills with an ability to think strategically and use sound judgement on complex issues. An ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary teams. Capacity to lead and manage a project and see it through to completion. Understanding of the fundamentals of financial control and governance. Experience and Personal Qualities Required. Part Qualified accountant currently working towards professional qualification. Third level qualification in Accounting, Business or a related discipline. A minimum of 2 years' work experience in a related financial discipline. Experience working as part of a core finance function in a relevant industry, including: Internal and / or external audit experience. Desirable Requirements.
