IT/ICT, Telcos Procurement Specialist. This team is a core specialist support dept. for a Business & Customer Services function, by managing 3rd party services, from initial acquisition & sourcing, contract mgt. & exit. They lead, deliver value, support risk management, regulatory compliance, & manage external partnerships & suppliers to support customers in Ireland, UK & USA. Summary of Role: You will be an integral part of a IT & Telcos sourcing team ensuring all 3rd party expenditure is adding value, meet strict compliance for all governance & risk. Understand spend profile across your relevant category, grow & maintain a sub-category strategy, inc. current & future patterns. Have business acumen, own commercial rel'ships for major suppliers used across the business, working with relevant s/holders. Reduce cost & add value to existing/ proposed sourcing solutions, using good RFX & supplier mgt. inc. full use of sourcing strategy definition, process improvement, reducing spend, Total cost Analysis & good supplier Relationship Management (SRM. You will: Impact on current & proposed 3rd party spend & risk: reducing overall cost & access industry leading market solutions, enhancing future capability & provide greater operational flexibility & resiliency. Influence & drive change & drive to deliver results against KPIs & goals. be aware of industry trends in the ITT category strategy & can add value through cost reduction, risk mgt. & build internal capability in line with organisational restructuring. Have leadership, negotiation & influencing skills. Be capable of unifying diverse s/holders together to achieve business objectives. 5 years+ exp. in sourcing supporting the creation & manage an IT & Telecoms sourcing category, able to establish a category plan. Have worked with other category teams to support process improvement Sourcing & SRM policy & manage the risk profile, in a large/medium sized professional services company. Have a broad understanding of technology sourcing trends & potential implications to the business. Strong Can translate s/holder requirements into technology sourcing practices & business outcomes. Proven people leader with excellent influencing skills both int/externally & can be part of a successful IT & Telecoms category sourcing team. Can negotiate with Senior Mgt. & suppliers on commercial & service issues with inclusion of consultation & guidance on complex commercial & performance issues all levels up to executive level - & improve supplier partnerships. Degree level or qualified by experience & ideally a sourcing qualification IIPMM/CIPS. Professional Competencies in : Communication & influencing. Strategic thinking & commercial acumen. Problem solving & decision making. Results focus. Industry supply market exp. Sourcing strategy formulation & implementation.
