Applications are invited for the position of Business Reporter. Reporting to the Business Editor and based in Dublin , the person appointed will be an experienced journalist with an  established track record. S/he will take on a reporting role in the business department, writing news,  analysis and comment pieces to a high standard across all platforms.  Applicants must be able to demonstrate a thorough knowledge of Irish and international business affairs. The role will involve originating and developing exclusive news stories to ensure the Irish Examiner continues to provide  readers with authoritative and interesting business content online and in print.  The successful candidate will also be able to demonstrate a detailed understanding of the principal business,  industrial, technological and research sectors. An ability to table ideas and see them through to fruition are  important criteria for the role along with editing skills.  Candidates must demonstrate their ability to work on their own initiative and also as a member of the business team.  Building and developing contacts within the business community is essential to the role.
