Description

A great opportunity for a Public Sector Procurement Executive to run tendering & contract mgt. of goods & services for an organisation. You will be managing the sourcing, negotiation & strategic selection of goods & services. Responsibilities are: - Ensure best practice procurement. Carry out tender process in line with EU Directives. Negotiate with suppliers. Achieve value for money through tendering. Ensure timely & efficient awarding of contracts. Carry out requests for quotes. Liaise with Government Departments, mgt. & staff. Contract Mgt - review & mgt. of contracts. Develop contract mgt. plan. Ensure no over runs on contracts. Develop & maintain relationships with suppliers & end users. Ensure terms & conditions of contracts are being adhered to throughout the term of the contract. Track actual spends & highlight variance in budget & actual spend. Develop relevant KPIs to assist with analysis of costs & supplier performance. Periodic review to ensure costs are accurate for period. Consider automation of processes, where possible. You will have ideally: - Level 6 qualification in Public Procurement. minimum of 3 years' experience in Public Procurement. Experience in tendering in the utilities sector, under EU directive, 2014/25/EU desirable. experience in the various public procurement tendering procedures. Exp with Frameworks, Qualification systems, Dynamic Purchasing Systems, Competitive Dialogue & the Negotiated procedure. Procurement of Goods & Services. Skills & Knowledge needed: Qualification in Public Procurement, to Level 6. Minimum of 3 years' experience in Public Procurement. Ability to meet deadlines. Desired knowledge & hands-on usage of SAP. High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel & Word. Good communication skills. Commercial & business awareness and good time management.
