Supplier/Vendor Specialist - IT. New exciting opportunity within our client's Vendor Management Team for an experienced Vendor/Supplier Specialist with strong relationship management and negotiation skills to join an energetic team delivering IT services. Reporting to the Senior Vendor Manager, the role will be responsible for managing contracts, external third parties and suppliers through effective supplier and relationship management Responsible for the delivery of contracts against commitments and ensuring that contract risk is appropriately managed. The ideal candidate must be a strong team player, a great communicator, and a business savvy individual who has an excellent understanding of the needs and challenges faced in today's outsourced multi-supplier environment and how they fit with customer focus and passion for excellence. Key responsibilities. Manage relationships with third party suppliers and service providers that deliver services to the organisation. Hold regular performance review meetings with preferred suppliers and key internal stakeholders to measure supplier performance against SLAs, benefit realisation, risk mitigation and contractual commitments and other key agreed objectives. Support vendors/suppliers in delivering performance metrics. Ensure analysis of business operations data in both efficiency and quality metrics to identify actionable trends to support performance improvements and opportunities for cost reduction. Where operational issues exist, support vendors//suppliers in determining root causes and ensure action plans are created to effectively address those root causes. Responsible for adherence and reporting of company's Minimum Control Expectations. Key skills. Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Procurement, IT, Computing, Engineering / Accounting / Science discipline with strong supplier management experience. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. At least 5 year's experience in vendor//supplier management in an IT environment. Strong sense of urgency, being able to work to tight deadlines and prioritise where necessary. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships and connections within the team, the business and external vendors/suppliers and across the organisation. Demonstrated relationship management skills including the ability to establish and maintain a high level of trust and confidence with key stakeholders. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Excellent time management, organisational and planning skills with a keen attention to detail. Ability to develop strong relationship with client stakeholders of all levels. A competitive salary and excellent benefit package.
