Description

Finance Manager - West Dublin. In this role you will be responsible for leading and managing the delivery of certain global accounting activities for various entities. In addition, you will develop an understanding of the strategic business direction and play a key role in the future development of the function in order to meet the needs of a growing and changing business. This will encompass both organisational development and exploitation of opportunities offered by existing and new information technologies. Core Duties and Responsibilities: • Manage the delivery of regional accounting activities for assigned region/entities, which includes: o Perform timely month end, quarter end and year end closing activities in both QAD and SAP; responsible for the close in accordance with US GAAP, including month-end close activities for revenue, cash, prepaids, tangible and intangible assets, accruals and debt. o Reviewing monthly/quarterly account reconciliations and other documents to ensure compliance. o Statutory reporting. o Processing of transactional taxes e.g. VAT. o Support annual tax compliance. o Liaison with financial planning team to understand changes in financial performance. • People: o Lead and mentor a team of professional accountants. o Focus on talent development, building a strong team. o Develop a customer-centric culture in your team with highly collaborative relationships with the relevant stakeholders. • Control environment: o Ensure that company financial records are maintained in compliance with company policies and US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements. o Accountable for ensuring that company policies and procedures (internal controls) are implemented to provide reasonable assurance that the company assets are protected. o Support the Sarbanes Oxley activities relative to internal controls documentation and testing and segregation of duties. o Liaise with internal and external auditors. • Process, technology and service: o Report agreed key performance indicators. o Support further enhancement of QAD to drive further efficiency and effectiveness in the delivery of accounting services. o Support deployment of SAP S/4 HANA and other systems e.g. Blackline, to garner greater efficiency within the Record to Report function. • Acquisitions: Support integration into financial operations. Interested applicants should have: • Bachelors degree or equivalent in Finance or Accounting. • Minimum 7 years' PQE experience, with a minimum of 3 years of management experience. • Qualified accountant i.e. ACA, ACCA, CIMA or CPA. • Experience in IFRS; Europe Local GAAP strongly desired. • Excellent communication and leadership skills i.e. ability to communicate and work effectively with a wide range of region, division and corporate functions. • Able to manage multiple priorities effectively, while managing ambiguity and adapting to changing business needs and priorities. • Project management, meeting facilitation, written/oral communication and presentation skills. • Experience leading and managing external audits with audit partners ensuring deliverables met within specified deadlines. It would be an advantage (not essential) to have any of the following: • Public Accounting background. • Previous Shared Service Centre experience with multinational publicly quoted company. • Working knowledge of US GAAP. • Proficient in SAP or similar ERP. • Proficient in MS Office applications. • Experience of QAD and BI tools. • Demonstrated ability to form, lead and develop high-performing teams.
