NTUTORR Communications & Engagement Officer The NTUTORR Programme. Ireland’s technological higher education sector, comprising new technological universities and institutes of technology, have formed a partnership to develop and deliver on the National Technological University Transformation for Recovery and Resilience (NTUTORR) programme. This ambitious programme, which is EU funded and overseen by the Higher Education Authority (HEA), proposes to utilize the national scale and scope of the sector to deliver a best-practice suite of initiatives and opportunities for the learner, for staff development, and supported by necessary enabling technologies. The NTUTORR programme is designed to transform learning, teaching and assessment by focusing on transforming the student experience and developing the capabilities of all staff to address a sustainable pedagogical and learning environment with particular and critical focus on the UN Sustainable Development Goals and equality, diversity and inclusion.  The NTUTORR programme of work is organised around three connecting streams, designed to enable the technological sector to achieve the goal of developing and implementing a major programme of work that sets out to transform learning, teaching and assessment by achieving clear sectoral gains and digital transformation through collaborative engagement.  The three main work streams are framed as:  · Transform the Student Experience through learner empowerment  · Transform Learning, Teaching and Assessment by Developing Staff Capabilities  · Enable Digital Ecosystems to transform Learning, Teaching and Assessment  Each stream has several focused, high impact work packages and deliverables to maximize the benefits for students, for staff and for institutions, but to do so in a consistent sector-wide approach that is scalable. Role Overview. NTUTORR is now recruiting a Communications & Engagement Officer to support the growing Programme Management Office (PMO). The post holder will report to the NTUTORR National Co-ordinator and will work alongside other members of the PMO. This post offers an excellent opportunity for the right candidate interested in contributing to a programme with transformative potential for learners and the technological higher education sector. Communications, including digital and social media, is a central strand of NTUTORR and is a crucial enabling factor for all programme streams and outcomes.  The general duties and responsibilities listed below are not intended to be a comprehensive list of all duties involves. The post holder may be required to perform other duties as appropriate to the post which may be assigned from time to time. Key Responsibilities. Reporting to the NTUTORR National Co-ordinator, the Communications & Engagement Officer will support all aspects of communication and engagement with key stakeholders, both internal and external.  Specifically, s/he will be expected to: • Support the development and implementation of the NTUTORR communications plan. • Support the development of www.ntutorr.ie and produce website content. • Support the roll out of the NTUTORR brand across all platforms, digital and traditional, ensuring adherence to the NTUTORR brand guidelines. • Support the public relations and outbound communications and marketing initiatives associated with the NTUTORR project. • Identify audience and stakeholder requirements to drive engagement with NTUTORR activities and initiatives. • Generate content and co-ordinate the content calendar for the NTUTORR social media output, website and other digital and traditional channels (e.g. LinkedIn, twitter, YouTube, etc.). • Create innovative and effective content, including visual content, for digital, social and traditional channels, identifying and testing innovative approaches to maximise engagement. • Liaise with THEA Head of Communications, and Communications Officers in partner institutions to co-ordinate the design and dissemination of NTUTORR promotional and marketing material. • Liaise with NTUTORR Institutional Leads and other stakeholders to identify and harness storytelling opportunities demonstrating the impact and achievements of NTUTORR. • Provide other supports and assistance to the National Co-ordinator as may be required from time to time. • Event management to support events with internal higher-education focus, and external public-facing events and meetings. • Management of external agencies. Candidate Skills and Attributes. • A level 8 degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience. • At least three years’ experience in a communications, marketing or promotional role. • Experience in supporting or developing social media plans and building engagement. • Strong work ethic and organisational skills, with an ability to deal with competing demands and prioritise workload to meet deadlines and targets. • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build good working relationships at all levels of operation. • Excellent copywriting and written skills, with ability to create and edit content (written and visual) for social, digital and traditional media. • Excellent skills and ability to create and manipulate digital assets for dissemination over social networks (e.g using Canva or similar. • Experience of / capacity for writing reports and other project administration tasks. • Experience or knowledge of co-ordinating events/meetings, etc. • Ability to understand the NTUTORR programme objectives and value proposition for a range of stakeholders. • Ability to work as part of a busy team with multiple work streams in a dynamic environment. Contract details. The position of Communications & Engagement Officer will be based in the NTUTORR Programme Management Office (PMO), which is hosted by THEA. This is a full-time, contract post to 31 December 2024, and subject to a period of probation and meeting on-going performance requirements.  Salary in the region of €42,000 commensurate with experience will be offered. A secondment arrangement for existing public-sector employees may be possible, subject to concluding an appropriate agreement between THEA and the candidate’s current employer.  The post is based within THEA with a high degree of flexibility regarding remote working. Some co-location with the NTUTORR National Coordinator and PMO will be essential. The role will require domestic travel within Ireland on a regular basis.  Application Details.
