Office of the Press Ombudsman and Press Council of Ireland. The Office of the Press Ombudsman and Press Council of Ireland requires an Office Manager (part-time) t o work in the Office of the Press Ombudsman in Dublin 2. Job Description: Under the direction of the Press Ombudsman, you will be responsible for the smooth functioning of the Office which has, in addition to the role for which you are applying, two full-time staff.  You will manage key administrative and organisational functions including: Providing administrative support to the Press Ombudsman as required. Acting as secretary to the Press Council (including organising meetings of the Council and of sub-committees, preparing and issuing documents, minute taking and maintaining records. Dealing with routine financial management of the Press Ombudsman’s Office. Maintaining and updating the website and liaising with the Office’s website provider.   Liaising with the Office’s IT provider to ensure the Office’s IT systems are fit for purpose. Managing the Office’s filing systems and ensuring compliance with GDPR. Dealing with telephone calls from the public including on occasion queries regarding the press complaints process. Ensuring compliance with health and safety protocols. Monitoring and maintaining office equipment and inventory supplies. Skills and experience: You will demonstrate: A track record in office management/administration/book-keeping. High competence in using IT programmes and ability to acquire new skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - written and verbal - and experience of writing formal documents. Organised and analytical approach to tasks and ability to prioritise. Ability to meet multiple project deadlines and demonstrate excellent attention to detail. Ability to exercise good judgement, confidentiality and discretion. Salary    €42,200 pro-rata (€21,100 pa.
