Accreditation Officer Grade II. The Irish National Accreditation Board (INAB) is the national body with responsibility for the accreditation of laboratories, certification bodies and inspection bodies. It provides accreditation in accordance with the relevant International Organisation for Standardisation ISO 17000 series of standards and guides. It is the statutory body responsible for Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and is the competent body for EMAS (European Eco-Management and Audit Scheme. INAB was established in 1985 and is a Committee of the Health and Safety Authority since the enactment of the Industrial Development (Forfás Dissolution) Act 2014. The Health & Safety Authority is the national statutory body with responsibility for ensuring that over 2 million workers (employed and self-employed) and those affected by work activity are protected from work related injury and ill-health. We are also the National Competent Authority for a number of chemicals regulations including REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) and Seveso III Directive. We are now seeking to fill the following position: Accreditation Officer Grade II. Working as part of a small technical team, the Accreditation Officer will have responsibility for the management and ongoing assessment of the accreditation process with an assigned portfolio of clients, primarily in the inspection and certification sectors but also in the laboratory sector.
