The Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission (GSOC) is an independent statutory body, established in 2007 under the Garda Síochána Act, 2005, as amended. Its function is to deal with matters involving possible misconduct by members of the Garda Síochána, in an efficient, effective and fair manner. GSOC is currently seeking high-calibre candidates to join their team as: Senior Investigations Officer. Reporting to the Deputy Director of Investigations, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the Director & Deputy Director of Investigations in developing and implementing the Commission’s investigative strategy while also managing and leading investigation teams inquiring into criminal and/or disciplinary allegations. S/he will have: • At least five years’ satisfactory experience of dealing with criminal investigations in a law enforcement service; • Excellent analytical skills; • Proven experience of team management and of managing investigations.
