Superannuation & Human Resources Officer (Grade V. Full-time Permanent Appointment. The Role. If you are looking for a HR opportunity with a difference, then this could be the challenge you have been waiting for. We are looking for an experienced Superannuation & HR Professional to join our busy HR Department. Reporting to the HR Manager, the role will be divided between managing the organisations’ Superannuation and Pension Schemes and generalist Human Resources activities with a particular focus on Employee Relations. You will provide excellent service to customers on all aspects of the role including implementing best practice in respect of all Human Resource activities and assist in maintaining positive Employee Relations. Key Responsibilities: Superannuation Activities Include: •Ensure management of the organisations’ Nominated Health Agencies and Voluntary Hospital Superannuation Schemes, Spouses and Children’s Contributory Pension Schemes and Single Public Sector Pension Schemes is delivered to the highest standard. •Manage a broad range of customer queries. •Coordinate and process all scheme applications and amendments. •Ensure pension schemes adhere to all compliance and regulatory requirements. •Prepare Service Statements, Calculate Benefit Statements and ensure all transfer/retirement requests are completed to the highest standard on a timely basis. •Analyse and prepare relevant Superannuation / HR reports. Generalist Human Resources Activities Include: •Support Line Managers and Staff in maintaining a collaborative and positive Employee Relations culture. •Advise and support managers on Employee Relations issues, including the consistent application of HR Policies and Procedures. •Be a HR representative at Safeguarding meetings as required, co-ordinate and participate in the application of our Trust in Care policy, support line management in resolving local Employee / Industrial Relations issues, etc. •Liaise with local & trade union and third party representatives as required. •Assist HR Manager in preparing submissions for third party hearings. •Development and review of HR Policies and Procedures in line with current legislation and best practice. Candidate Requirements. •Be a seasoned Human Resource professional with experience across a broad range of Human Resource areas. •Ideally have 4 – 5 years’ pensions experience some of which must be in public sector superannuation schemes. •Experience in Employee Relations in a fast passed and unionised environment. •Have an excellent understanding of key employment legislation. •Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritise work-load. •Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative as required. •Display a positive and enthusiastic can-do attitude. •Possess absolute discretion and confidentiality with the ability to build good working relationships. •Have excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Excel and HR IT systems. •A relevant third level qualification is desirable along with membership of the CIPD.
