Short-Term Temporary Position. Participate in on-going social research establishing the cost of a Minimum Essential Standard of Living for households in Ireland, assisting with the annual update of the pricing of minimum living costs. Opportunity to gain practical experience of the research process, and first-hand insight into the application of research to the social policy development process - may suit a social science student. Tasks will include, but are not limited to. • Source pricing data on: o Private Health Insurance. o Car Insurance. o Public Transport. o Household Waste Charges. o Communications costs. o Other items to be specified. • Enter updated pricing data into spreadsheets. Required Skills: • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word. • Internet research skills. • Understanding of Irish private health insurance market. • Knowledge of Irish Social Welfare system and Social Policy. Duration. 10 days / 2 weeks. Salary. Weekly rate equivalent to the full-time Irish Living Wage, €11.70 per hour / €456 per week.
