Our client is a leading mechanical & electrical installation contractor, delivering projects across Ireland, the UK, Europe and other locations Worldwide. Due to a recent expansion in their workload, they have an urgent requirement for a Health & Safety Officer. The ideal candidate will have a higher Diploma or relevant Degree and 3-5 years construction experience and will be based out of head office but will be required to travel throughout the Leinster area. The successful candidate must be able to work on own initiative, be able to give instruction to site personnel and have a good working knowledge of safety legislation. Responsibilities include: Carrying out safety inspections, producing risk assessment, accident / incident recording, carrying out site safety inductions, identifying training requirements. Delivering on continual improvement on existing ISO 14001 and 18001 certification. Supporting the site team in achieving and maintaining compliance with legal and Corporate EHS requirements. Updating and maintaining site EHS procedures. Previous experience in the Construction Industry is desirable.
