Principal Social Worker- Safe Guarding

Social Worker needed to cover maternity leave for 12-month contract. The successful candidate will advocate for zero tolerance on abuse, co-ordinate and manage all matters relating to safe guarding issues and work with members of the department offering a high level of support to service users and their families. Responsibilities: Undertake assessments to determine needs and to plan service provisions accordingly, which will be reviewed regularly. Analyse problems and manage complex casework for self and team members. Recruitment and selection of staff. Participate in supervision with the head of Clinical Services. Deputise at meetings and carry out any other essential duties, in the absence of the Head of Social Work. Participate in the development of and coordination of designated officer teams across the organisation. Provide advice and support to both designated officer teams, the Head of Clinical Services and Senior Management on safe guarding issues. Participate on the safe guarding committee. Requirements: Be registered in the Social Workers Register maintained by the Social Workers Board at CORU. Minimum 5 years post qualification experience as a professional social worker. Experience within the Intellectual Disability sector is desired. Full clean driving license and access to a car. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
