Looks good so far, but what would my day-to-day look like? Develop the test strategy and create and execute test plans in conjunction with development and DevOps teams. Plan, design and write test cases from requirements and User Stories. Write automation test cases to verify the functional and non-functional requirements of a feature. Troubleshoot issues to determine if they are environmental or code-related. Work to constantly improve processes and tools with the development team. Work with BA’s to clarify requirements and work through test feedback. Ensure Test Progress reports are updated and Test tasks are reviewed and closed at the end of each Sprint. Great, now what should my profile look like in order to be considered? Degree in Computer Science or similar. 3 years software testing experience- experience in automated testing isn’t necessarily a hard requirement, but candidates must be excited to learn! Experience testing within an Agile product environment. Knowledge of how to determine the genesis of defect (with debugging tools such as Firebug. Prior experience working in a CI environment. Some knowledge of Java, and of travel software industry would be an advantage, but is not 100% required. Looks like a fit! What else do I need to know?
