Buyer- Cosmetics and Jewellery Buyer- Dublin. The Company: An Irish owned company whom have grown to be a house hold name throughout Ireland, known for their top quality products and excellent customer service. They are currently looking for someone to join their buying team working on the jewellery and cosmetics lines while reporting into the senior buyer. The Role: Working with current suppliers and product ranges, manage seasonal range planning, review of product ranges, product selection and development. Working with retail operations team and store teams, ensure that you visit all stores regularly reviewing current products listed, planograms, overstocks, returns to suppliers etc. Source new products, select merchandise assortments consistent with the strategy of the store and place orders with suppliers. Set mark-up rates, markdown rates and selling prices for the merchandise in order to achieve gross margin targets in line with budgets. Negotiate trade discount, settlement terms and transport arrangements for merchandise. Maintain the system in respect of cost price, selling price and currency changes. Maintain the order forms and price list up to date. Coordinate the supply chain from vendor to warehouse and into Stores. The Successful Candidate: Strong retail background and will have worked as a buyer at a similar level. Good PC skills including Excel. Excellent organisation and communication skills. Strong numerical and analytical skills. Ability to work under pressure. Energetic, enthusiastic and not afraid of hard work.
