Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council provides a diverse, comprehensive and evolving range of services to citizens, businesses and visitors to the County including the provision of housing, planning, development, environmental, transportation, leisure and community services. Reporting to the Senior Engineer, the Senior Executive Engineer (Electrical) will primarily be responsible for managing the County Council’s public lighting network and will also play a significant role in advising the various engineering teams and departments within the County Council on electrical installations and related matters, including solar and wind generation and electric vehicle charging. S/he will perform a critical role in taking initiatives and innovative approaches to help the Council improve energy efficiency and comply with climate change targets.
