Senior Electrical/Electronic Engineer (Manufacturing)Dublin. This role sitswithin the Engineering team in commercial support and manufacturing of Medical diagnostic equipment. The position will involve design and verification of technical solutions to enhance product and process capability, primarily focusing in the area of electronic and electrical Engineering with a bias towards real time systems and software. Successful candidatemust have excellent electronic skills (analog and digital) and the ability to understand down to a component level to the electronic workings of a system. A background in circuit and printed circuit board designing would be a benefit. Experience in real time systems is required along with signal processing, bus systems and protocols. Candidates must have the ability to trouble shoot technical problems to root causeand able to structure and plan their own work and the capacity to lead projects. Youwill report to a principal engineer on site inDublin and will form part of a flexible engineering team covering Manufacturing Engineering, New Product Development and Commercial Product Engineering. The Role: 1) Technically support medical equipment product platforms in a low volume, highly complex and highly regulated technology environment. Design and validate technical (mechanical / electro mechanical / software) solutions to enhance product and process capability in the area of medical diagnostic information technology. Areas include: - design for reliability enhancement, test fixture development, cost reduction, component obsolescence, field service support and customer satisfaction. 2) Requires an ability to analyze problems to root cause with a structured approach and develop solutions, including associated design validation activity. 3) To act as technical reference and have a good diagnostic mechanical, electrical, software OS skills with the ability to analysis data and develop solid conclusions. 4) Have the ability to understand electrical circuits both digital and analog, be able to go down to a component level to solve problems. 5) Potential to reverse EngineerPCB designs and deliver new design solutions to give same performance. 6) Must be able to understand signal protocols, processing and bus systems, ability to analysis data and address lines to understand system architecture and performance and be able to document and disseminate this to a wider team. Qualifications/Skills/Experience for this role: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline (Electrical, Electronic, and Computer Science. Minimum of 5 years relevant experience. Strong analysis skills with experience in complex technical trouble shooting. Excellent communications skills- written and verbal.
