Fixed Asset and Cost Accountant - South Dublin. This position is being offered as a 3 year fixed-term contract. In this role you will be responsible for handling elements of various reporting systems, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles and in line with plant, business and corporate policies. You will maintain control of the Fixed Asset Register, reconciling the asset and depreciation values monthly to SAP. You will have responsibility for the Standard Product Costing, set up of bills of materials, and costing new materials. Your core duties will include: • Support the monthly Construction in Progress spending and accounting process through the review of data in SAP and is responsible for ensuring purchasing commitments and actual invoices comply with the CB2 scope; • Handle the monthly reporting and the periodic forecasting and budgeting of capital spending projects and the related depreciation to be recorded in SAP and moved into HFM for business and statutory accounting; • Work as part of the team on the monthly management accounts closing process. Responsible for PPV analysis, Labour posting, analysis and reporting; • Support, in conjunction with the Financial Controller and Assistant Plant Controller, the annual budget and quarterly forecasting efforts; • Provide detailed month end spend analysis that contributes to explaining the manufacturing variances; • Provide back up for the activities of the Assistant Plant Controller and also participate in Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) audits Maintain the Car fleet. Manage acquisition, disposals and ongoing maintenance costs; • Maintain ownership of the internal controls related to the purchase and disposal of fixed assets. Lead the Asset Impairment Review process and the Asset Tagging system; • Provide back up to the Payroll Administrator & support the Finance Team and Controller with special projects and ad hoc duties. Interested applicants will ideally be qualified or part-qualified accountants (CIMA, ACCA, ACA), coupled with a background in the manufacturing sector. You will handle the monthly, quarterly and yearly CSO return. You will have cost accounting experience, ideally SAP knowledge (not essential), and excellent Excel and PC skills.
