Prominent Insurance company, headquartered in Dublin have a permanent opportunity available for a Head of Taxation. This is career defining move, it would suit a Qualified Tax Accountant, Big 4 trained with seven years post qualified experience in the Insurance or Financial Services sector. The successful candidate will lead a team of Tax Accountants and report directly to the Chief Finance Officer. Key areas of responsibility. Lead a team in the management of tax compliance affairs. Participate in tax projects within the Group advising the business and colleagues on issues. Input to decision making for the strategic vision and operational excellence of the Finance function. Ensure the optimum taxation structure is in place for the business. Manage the Taxation team in the delivery of tax computations for reporting to Group and local regulatory bodies. Oversee submission of the Quarterly Tax Pack to Group Tax. Responsible for taxation disclosures included in the statutory accounts. Overseeing preparation of the tax returns for the company. Provides financial taxation support to business partners. Qualifications, experience and skills. Professional tax qualification, AITI Charted Tax Advisor Qualification with at least three year Post Qualified Experience. Member of recognised accountancy body, Desirable. 7 years' post qualified experience in taxation in a financial services role with a track record of successful delivery; preferably trained by a large accounting firm. Strong technical knowledge of regulations. Planning & Organising; ability to organize time effectively. Business Focus; awareness of management thinking and vision.
