Grocery Assistant Manager Dublin 24. We here in Excel Recruitment have a great opportunity for a retail manager to join our client who is opening a brand new state of art retail convenience supermarket store in the South Dublin area. My client is a successful business owner who has decades of experience in the grocery industry along with another successful supermarket store. The new store will be branded as a market-leading convenience household name. As the Assistant Manager, you will be a key player in the business involving business planning, implementing routines, procedures, and developing a new team to deliver store standards and shop performance. Our client is negotiable DOE. Responsibilities of the Assistant Manager Job. Assisting the Store Manager in achieving the store targets, managing costs, etc. Ensuring the store is kept to high standards at all times. Reporting directly to the Store Manager and taking ownership of the store in the manager's absence. Taking full control of the shop on a daily basis, resolve any operational issues, organising and managing large teams of staff in all areas of the store to ensure the store is running smoothly and service and standards are kept high. Ensuring all staff members are engaged and motivated, addressing any performance issues if needed. Scheduling for the store including management of peak times. Requirements for this Assistant Manager job: You will have experience working in a busy grocery shop with a fresh food department at a senior duty manager level or assistant manager level. Excellent attention to detail required. Must be confident managing a similar team. Ambitious and tenacious personality. Excellent communication skills.
